​2020 Christmas Art/Essay Contest

Thanking God for the opportunity to offer the 2020 - 1st Annual Christmas Art/Essay Contest. Above all thanking God for His son Jesus. We're grateful for all the entries, we were blessed to view all the art and we encourage everyone to read the essays - you too will indeed be Blessed.

With this contest, we honor the birth of Christ and grateful for His birth and Father God for His gift.  We're grateful for God;s unfailing LOVE.  We also honor and recognitze all of the loved ones who went home to be with the Lord during this challenging season.  By Grace, we hope and trust that we can lift the spirits of everyone who participated, as well as all who view the art and essays. In addition, we know that during this pandemic season, EVERYONE is experiencing some form of loss. The Walker Family, honors our matriach, Mary. Each year, until her eyesight failed, helped to select the 'Best in Show' Award. For this contest, we want to recognize and honor her, for a year ago on 2/11, her Homegoing celebration was held. The date was selected from the old 211 Gospel Hymn - 'Leaning on the Everlasting Arms'. Thanking Lord Jesus again and again.

By Grace, we have awarded EVERYONE of the partipants and have categorized each participant - TOP WINNER - for they are ALL 'BEST in SHOW'.

Tile and stand of each entry awarded to every participant.

Artwork Submissions based on:

1) Originality/Creativity
2) Does design illustration reflect the Christmas theme
      ‘Keeping Christ in Christmas’ - Luke 2:1-21
​               and/or Matthew 1:18 - 2:2
3) For artwork - was color or lack of color appropriate.
4) All entries - please use white typing paper. 
              (No larger than 8 1/2” X 11”)
5) On back of entry - write applicant’s name, age, and
     theme choice on sticky note or paper with paper clip
6) Every artist receives a tile with stand of their artwork entry.
7) $25 Awarded to each Top Winner per age category
(Please do not assist your child with their artwork especially 1-3 year olds  - asking if you could give your child pencil/crayon and share the Scriptures and theme with them)
